ADAM Grooming Atelier, Canary Wharf - Cabot Place

Just got one of the worst haircuts of my life. I told the guy I want a simple classical haircut, nothing fancy just the same form and a bit shorter and most importantly NOT to use the machine because I don’t like how the hair cut by machine looks like, I wanted a haircut that looks natural and done with scissors. Three minutes in he picks up the machine - I thought it’s to correct something but he goes on and on. Then he shows me the back of my head, oh my god it’s all machine cut with a fade to 0.5 mm and for some reason he lifted my hairline. I wanted a haircut that people wear with suits but got an East London chav haircut to be worn with a tracksuit. And all of that for an exorbitant price of £42 as if it’s some luxury salon. Avoid the place, definitely not worth it.

I guess the hairdresser just didn’t understand me. Seemed a nice guy but after I asked three times for layering to add volume, I gave up in the end. My hair doesn’t look any different as it has barely been touched. More effort and time was spent faffing with hot towels and trimming what little beard I have one hair at a time. I’ll try again somewhere else within a week.
