Ania's Tanning & Beauty Salon

I’m writing this as a matter of safety, to warn people against using their tanning beds. My mum use to own a tanning bed shop, so I have been going on for 4 years, I am not pale, and it takes a lot of sun to burn me. I went on the stand up tanning beds here yesterday for 10 minutes, I usually go for more. The bulbs seemed rather bright, but I thought nothing of it. Today I am severely burned. Not even a full day in 40 degree weather without sun cream on has ever burnt me this badly. The tubes are clearly turned up to a hight well above what’s safe to subjecting yourself to, and I am contemplating reporting this to the council, as they clearly have never been checked by anyone. Luckily I know my body, and in a few days the redness should go down, but right now I am in extreme pain. If I had any paler a completion I can’t imagine what this would have done to me. There’s also the issue of not checking my ID, I am 22 years old, but look around 16, so I definitely should have had it checked, it’s likely they are letting underaged people on if I wasn’t checked, or asked for any medical records whatsoever.

Iv been to most Sunbed shops in London, Hertfordshire & Essex and this is my favourite one! Great service from the staff. Best beds the bulbs are always changed regularly and they have lay down, stand up and power plate on stand up it’s like being at the gym and on holiday at the same time lol. They also have a hair salon and nails so you can get everything done in one place. PERFECT : ) xx

I went to get my hair cut yesterday by Anita and she didn’t listen at all to what I wanted. I asked for layered short hair with curtain bangs. She gave me straight hair that’s longer at the front and wasn’t even cut straight. I will attach pictures of what I asked for vs what I got. She spent a total of 15 minutes on my hair even though I came in with really long hair so it was a big job. I felt like a slab of meat on a conveyer belt. Even after stating that I don’t want it to look so harsh she didn’t fix it. She didn’t even want to dry it. I honestly regret paying. I wasn’t shown the true extent of the damage whilst I was there. I would love a refund as that cut was not worth £35!! And this isn’t the first time that something I wanted to do with my hair was criticised or changed, it’s my hair my choice. I’ve had to go to a different salon to fix the cut. After coming here for years, I won’t be returning. It used to be good but over the past couple years the service I’ve been receiving has been declining.
