Bannatyne's Ashford

My friend and I recently visited Bannatynes in Ashford. We checked in at the main desk and were given robes and towels and then shown upstairs to the spa called The Sensory.I had received a voucher to pay for this which enabled both of us to get a massage and a facial. We were shown into The Relaxation Room until our rooms were ready. Once inside our respective rooms we undressed – I was told to lay face down on the table and my therapist came in and gave me a massage. I didn’t really know what to expect as I hadn’t had one before but she chatted away and smoothed my back out. I did feel quite stressed as I’d just started a new job a couple of days before and she soon smoothed out my aching muscles – so much so that it hurt (!) but luckily this was short-lived and all too soon that part was over. I was told to turn over but she held a towel over me so nothing untoward was revealed!The facial was with Elemis products, I had exfoliation and some cooling pads put over my eyes which was lovely. There was also a gel like face mask which smelled fruity and good enough to eat! My face still felt great, hours later and was glowing afterwards.We were told which products were used on us and what type of skin we had. My friend said she felt totally relaxed and had fallen asleep during her massage! We put on our swimming costumes after we were left alone in the room and were allowed back in the Relaxation Room for a glass of water or cup of herbal tea.The best part about this voucher was that we had free reign of the swimming pool and also managed some time in the Jacuzzi and sauna and steam rooms. That really put the icing on the cake as the treatments only lasted an hour and we could easily have just gone home after that. However we went downstairs and made full use of the facilities and this made our voucher even better value for money. I can recommend this spa – everyone was friendly and efficient and it’s a relaxed atmosphere. A very enjoyable day and I'd go back in a flash!
