They kept me, a new customer, waiting for 15 mins. I wanted my roots done - about 2" regrowth. The colourist suggested a colour which was much darker than my hair. We compromised between what I thought my colour was and what she thought. When my hair was being blow-dried, I noticed she had only covered less than half the regrowth so I had zebra stripes!!! She said she wouldn't charge me for the colouring, but the sub-manageresss arrived and said I had to have my hair redyed, as it was "policy" not to give refunds. I then noticed a wadge of colour on one side that was almost black and said I didn't want to have my hair redone. I explained it was my first visit to the salon and that I just wanted to go away and forget the whole experience. Stroppy sub-manageress said I had to have it redone and so my hair went through 2 ammonia treatments in the space of 4 hours. End result was still uneven, as was the trim. I had pointed out to Mimi, who was to cut my hair, that she hadn't got a straight parting, but she said she would do it again later, then disappeared, never to be seen again. I realise now that I should have walked out without paying, leaving contact details, as the sub-m said that the manageress would ring me. She didn't, so I rang the salon and asked to speak to the manager. After going through the whole distressing saga for half an hour on the phone, the girl informed me she wasn't the manageress and that she would get the boss to ring, as the boss was the only person who could assess the damage to my hair and the state of it. I waited for 2 days then rang again to ask for the absent boss to contact me. I am still waiting 5 months later!!!!!!!!!!If you want to be patronised, belittled and to have your previous (wonderful) hairdresser's work criticised, go here. I was spoken to like an idiot, when in fact I have a degree.If you require even only a basic level of politeness, care and professionalism, run a mile!I have never written an on-line review on anything before, which shows how strongly I felt about the whole experience.As it was lunchtime during this, and I was hungry, I said I needed to get a sandwich. They said one of the girls would nip next door for me. I said I was vegetarian and she returned with a cheese and ham sandwich. That was the last straw!Dreadful atmosphere, incompetent and haughty staff and no desire for customer satisfaction. Enter at your peril.Phew, I feel better for that!!!
