City Academy Phoenix Heights

This is frustrating as I used a City Academy course voucher for an Improvisation class but the Academy and class are not listed anywhere on the site. I took Jake Lyon's class as an Introduction to Improvisation which was held at the Unicorn Theatre at London Bridge. There were 8 students there including myself. It was relaxed, fun and cathartic and a great way to dabble in play and acting. The students were a real mix of nationalities and extremely friendly and welcoming to me as a newbie which was lovely. The class was meant to be 90mins but in reality was closer to 60, he said this was because the numbers were a bit low. It was a shame as I felt really energised and keen to learn more. I was fascinated at the processes we did. For a special offer it was fine but if I'd paid full price for the class I would have been disappointed to have had it cut short regardless of the numbers. I would still recommend it. If the theatre was more local to me I would have liked to have attended a course there. Unfortunately it's a bit of a trek but it has made me realise I enjoy acting and would like to do more of it.
