I phoned several days in advance for a 4 pm appointment at Curl Up and Dye which was all I could fit in around my work commitments. I discussed the cost of a colour and cut and was told it was £60 which I thought quite reasonable so I made the appointment. When I arrived I was told that the appointment was just for a trim and they couldn't fit me in. I tried other hairdressers but none could accommodate me at such short notice, and I ended up having a trim at the walk in hairdressers in Emery Gate...my hair will now look terrible for the wedding. I was less than impressed with the service from this hairdressers and won't be going back. Also the shop used to be a charity shop and - quite frankly still smells like one. Compared with other salons it looks very shabby and low tech - saying that..the two pensioners that were in there having their shampoo and sets seemed happy enough.
