I would not recommend Doubletake to anybody unless you feel like having a load of raunchy pictures taken no matter how much you protest.I am not a huge fan of lots of make up and think that less is definitely more when it comes to make up. I think too much make up looks tarty and classless and this is something I made perfectly clear to the staff when I went for my makeover, a fact that the staff clearly do not agree with.I have never had so much make up piled onto my face before in my life. One of the big things I wanted to know about when I signed up for this is how to make my rather small eyes look bigger, by the they had finished with me you could hardly even see my eyes and I looked like a panda! Or one of those cartoons where somebody puts soot on a telescope before somebody looks through it.I asked them if they could tone it down a bit and they very reluctantly did a little bit but you could hardly tell the difference, I was really unhappy with the look, it was a mutton dressed as lamb tarty Bet Lynch look and nothing at all like the look I wanted.When it came to the hair style well, what can I say, these scruffy hair cuts might well be the latest fashion but they look awful and especially on me, I was so upset. They used a hair straightner on my hair over and over until it looked dry and lifeless and I am sure they inflicted on end of damage to the ends of it, then it was welded into place with some heavy duty extra hold spray and I felt like I was wearing a helmet.Then it was time for the photo session, I have never felt more embarrassed in my life, I was asked to pose in positions I would not get into in the privacy of my own home let alone a total stranger and why he thought I wanted to buy and display picture of me looking like that I will never know.The photos were mostly dreadful, I have a bit of a birthmark on my face and was hoping they would show me how to get shots where it didn’t show, the photographer kept telling me not to worry as they would do a touch up to hide it, as the make up did not, and then they wanted to charge me 30 pounds for it, I was disgusted.This is not a good experience and one I will not be repeating
