A total treasure find once you have found us you will almost definitely want to return! Carol Archer the founder and proprietor of Fine Fettle Hairdressing established for nearly for 30 years certainly has a salon business to be proud of. With over 45 years in the hairdressing industry, Carol definitely knows what it takes to run a successful business and that she has with ambition, drive and determination over the years Carol has achieved a business many would only wish for with high expectations and customer care to boot Fine Fettle hairdressing is definitely the place to be. Introducing her daughter Adele in 1987, Carol has trained her to exacting standards, passing on all her knowledge and keeping it in the family.

I'm horrified by the previous nasty comment left about fine fettle. I've been attending the salon for an estimated 6 years and I have never received less than a 5 star treatment. I wont trust any hairdresser with my hair as I have a specialist skin condition. Carol, Tash, Adele, Vanessa and of course their parents are an amazing team. Together they create a warm and pleasant atmosphere and accommodate all clientele that come in. I always see all the customers happy, chatty and feeling relaxed. I've never once witnessed anything like the woman described above. Frankly, I have to question the motivation and reasoning behind such an anonymous attack. We are all entitled to an opinion, but I'd like to think six years experience with Fine Fettle gives me a far better position to have an informed opinion of the establishment. Personally, I can't recommend them higher, they get an A* in my books. Thanks again Carol, I'm so pleased with my curls! Deborah x

Received a voucher through Kahootz and thought I would give it a try. Lovely experience, the staff took so much time and care over the spa treatment and the hair cut. Even with an already short hairstyle the consulation was very hepful and worthwhile and the products were great. Thank you for all of you help and will definately be back again.

wow!! The Ladies at this salon are absolutely amazing! i 1st went in about 2 months ago with disastrous hair! I have been dying my hair myself for around 4 years really dark brown/black, red and various other colors and ruined it, i went into Fine Fettle to basically try and get my hair back to a natural base color with a view to having highlights, i told them what i wanted, they gave me a consultation, talked me through everything and got to work. My 1st visit i had the awful red colour taken out of my hair and a deep conditioning treatment ... already 1million% improvement, my second visit again tried to get the remaining redness/black build up out which again was a brilliant success!! ... I'm now going back for my 3rd visit this week to hopefully have my highlights!!! ..... I'm so glad i came to Fine Fettle, i no of other people who have had similar problems with their hair and have been to salons in Leeds who have just put a bleach bath on and made it worse ...... its clear the staff here are really experienced and no what they are talking about! I think its so hard to find a decent Hairdresser that actually listens to you these days, they are absolutely brilliant and have saved my hair, and my life!!! They definitely have a customer for life in me ..... Thank You! x

Had Fine Fettle recommended to me. I had a treatment carried out by Tash and a cut and colour done by Adele. I absolutely love my colour! I find the previous review surprising as I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend the salon to my friends.

I had not been to a hair salon for a while and needed some persuading to find someone to do my hair. A friend had suggested trying out a salon that had special offers on, for a relaxing head massage and some other treatments. So l phoned and was dealt with a lovely girl who took down my details of what treatments l would have. Well all l can say is that first impressions where great, l was greeted by Adele and Tash who all put me at ease. I had a excellent head massage and steam treatment by Tash and a style by Adele. All l can stay, l went in looking like a scarecrow but came out looking like a hot yummy mummy.Thank You all at Fine Fettle for a great day and a warm welcome :)

I had a terrible experience at this salon from start to finish. After purchasing a deal from the Groupon website I thought I was in for a treat with the Philip Kingsley hair treatment with Head, Shoulder and Neck massage. Instead I got an incompetant \'hair dresser\' who I had to inform that the steamer she put me under for the treatment was not even plugged in. And then when she bent down to check it, the hot cup of tea that she placed on the mirror ledge in front of me, fell off and went all over me and burned my hand. I was then made to feel it was my fault and they had nothing to do with it. I was given a towel with some ice, which did help some. The massage was terrible, the \'hair dresser\' did not even touch my shoulders or my neck, I think she was in too much of a rush to get me out of the door since everyone else in the salon had disappered off for a weekend away and she had a BBQ to go to. Whole experience left me feeling upset and not one little bit relaxed. I am sorry that I paid £16 for someone to \'tickle\' my head and get a hot cup of tea all over me. I did not even see the benefits of the hair treatment itself. There are much better hair dressers in Leeds than this, and that is saying something considering the owner of Fine Fettle has over 45 years experience! Do not go!

Adele was very welcoming, and truley gave me the best ever hair cut that i have had for years. Best off all was the complimenrty head massage which left me feeling relaxed and refreshed.The hair cut only cost £14.
