About Kamini Holistic Beauty
Had a pedicure (£45) which included a soak, thorough tidy-up of the cuticles, exfoliation and scrub to make your feet look totally clean and supple. The therapist, Laura, did such a great job that my feet looked good even without any varnish on. After the soaking and scrubbing, Laura massaged an amazing peppermint moisturiser on my feet and legs that crackled and tingled as soon as it was applied on my skin.Following an expert application of nail varnish, my feet looked party-perfect and still do 5 days later. I’m hoping it lasts for a good 3-4 weeks which would make Kamini my top choice for a pedicure. The staff at Kamini are great. Friendly, non-pushy, and full of good advice. Laura and I discussed everything from holiday skin care to acupuncture. Kamini’s daughter offered to thread my eyebrows and I can say that I am very impressed by her skill and shall be visiting Kamini whenever in need of threading. Absolutely painless, and never using any tweezers or scissors to pluck / shape, Kamini’s daughter managed to even-out and shape my brows much better. The threading is more expensive than my previous beauty salon’s prices, however Kamini’s technique is supposed to slow or diminish the growth of the unwanted hair so one would need fewer treatments. I’ll let you know if this is the case in a month or so. The painless-factor is enough to entice me back. The spa is quite minimal. It is tucked away in Lancer square behind Kensington Church Street. The entrance is nice and airy but the treatment room in which I had my pedicure was sparse, and seemed to be separated from another room by a screen. The other private treatment room (where I had my eyebrows threaded) was small and not particularly atmospheric so I’m not sure how I’d feel about getting a pampering massage or facial there, but I’m definitely returning for pedicures and eyebrows.
