If you're looking for a curly specialist in the Bay, stop your search. Many stylists claim to know curls, but Universe actually KNOWS curls. This was the first salon trip in my adult life that I didn't feel a bit deflated about the cut, or like I had to completely redo what styling had been done before going about my day. Her confidence put me completely at ease, and not only was she able to give me a cut that suits my lifestyle and brings out the best in my curls, it highlights parts of my personality that I didn't quite know how to show off, all from one conversation! Overall an excellent experience, you will not be disappointed.

Scarlet is an all-inclusive salon with excellent stylists. Samantha (my stylist) is a true 100% superstar hair superhero. My hair is straight and frizzy, thin but coarse, and full of cowlicks. I’ve had many stylists in the past tell me they don’t like working on my hair. Samantha was completely unfazed by my hair texture and quality. She dove right in and proceeded to give me the very BEST haircut I’ve ever had. She understood my gibberish and got my style and gave me the cutest fairy cut either just the right amount of edge for me to carry off. I am in LOVE! She also guided me to the perfect fashion color choice that fit with my glasses and my skin tone. She really knows hair and color. I have extremely dark half Asian hair and she bleached my hair perfectly so it was light enough to get a beautiful bluish/purple color without ANY damage. She also has a true artist’s eye in terms of color placement, etc. I’m a client for life!

I followed Eden here from a different salon several years ago. She’s given me the best and longest lasting cuts for my frizzy/curly hair that I’ve ever had. Fortunately for her and unfortunately for me the rest of the world seems to know how great she is and my approach to last minute bookings doesn’t work. I saw Ryan today and it’s clear that everyone at Scarlett is super talented. My cut is perfect. I also love their financial model. It makes it easy for me and I hope it better compensates these talented professionals.
