About Terence Paul Bramhall
Recently I booked in for a blow dry at Terence Paul in Bramhall as my usual salon couldn’t accommodate me at such late notice. I booked the same morning and was pleased that they could fit me in bearing in mind how busy they are on a Saturday afternoon.I had requested for my hair to be blown with volume at the roots and curled at the ends, something I often have done, however I know that this can be a pretty mean feat considering how thick my hair is and with it is also being naturally curly too. I have experienced many an occasion whereby a stylist has enthusiastically started to blow my hair, to end up boiling hot, despondent and stressed out 45 minutes later, often with me tangled in several curling brushes and my hair a mess of frizziness. This often results in me going home and having to go over it all again by myself to try and get the result I want. This has made me reluctant to try anywhere new, especially when I’m going somewhere special, however this wasn’t one of those occasions. On arrival at the salon I was greeted by two really friendly members of staff and was asked to take a seat at the mirror virtually straight away. I explained my request to the stylist Sarah and she knew exactly what I meant, which filled me with confidence straight away. The atmosphere in the salon had a great buzz to it with the salon being virtually full. I actually really prefer that when I am in a hair salon as I love people watching and would rather be in a busy hair salon that a deathly quiet one!I was taken to the backwash and received a lovely head massage whilst I had my hair shampooed and conditioned and was also offered a treatment which I accepted. All the time the stylist was really friendly and we engaged in conversation as she was really bubbly and easy to talk to. As I returned to my seat I was offered magazines and coffee.Forty five minutes later my hair was bouncing and shiny, silky to touch and also felt in great condition thanks to the treatment I’d had put on it. I was really happy with the finish as it meant I didn’t have to do anything apart from apply my make up before going into Manchester that evening, which is always a great feeling as blowing my hair myself to that extent at home can be a nightmare and takes me forever. If I was stuck for a salon to go to I would definitely go back here again, although in comparison to a lot of other local salons within this area, who’s average price for a good blow dry is around the £20 mark, the £30 I was charged at Terence Paul did seem a bit steep once I had included a tip for the stylist. All in all though I would definitely recommend!
