The Foundry Barbers

I reviewed this place about two years ago on Yelp or somewhere— not sure exactly on which platform but I’d love to post an update after 4-5 years of going here. Long time client and for a good reason, so let me tell you why the foundry is the only barbershop worth visiting in Fort Collins. The staff: Seriously, I would go here just to hang out and talk if it made sense to. Ron and Corbin are the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. They host a beautiful and authentic cross-section of Fort Collins through genuine conversation and discussion. Look at their Instagram and tell me how much it’s about haircuts: no, it’s a page about the people who work there. Even some of these reviews mention things like “He bought me lunch right before my haircut” which just shows how much they care. The haircut: Let’s be honest, this is the reason you go to a barber, so it better be good… and it is. Corbin was inspired to cut hair from his love for art, and will give you the detail and perspective a talented tattoo artist would give you. Someone you could trust with how you look. Ron has been cutting hair for over 50 years, and has truly guided me through my hair journey. He just understands inherently what I want without me knowing how to describe it, and he’s bold enough to offer his expertise on what would look great on my head even if I don’t know! The work speaks for itself. Especially if you want a shorter cut, these guys really know what they’re doing. I know for myself the price felt like a worry the first time I ever came here, but a cut is almost like getting a steak at a restaurant. If you get an $18 mediocre steak at Outback, you probably don’t really know or care about what a good steak is. I could go to Floyd’s and get a dirt cheap haircut if I didn’t care about how I looked, but the little extra in price pays for the craftsmanship, consulting, and community. Been coming to Foundry for a few years now. I tried 7 different shops in Fort Collins before finding Corbin and the guys at Foundry. If you’re looking for the cleanest cut and an atmosphere that everyone enjoys then you’ve found your place. Highly recommend.

Every time the opportunity pops up for me to leave a review on The Foundry Barbers I jump on it! Corbin has been my go to guy for many years now, so much so I went though all the trouble of tracking down his new shop location after he moved from Loveland to Ft Collins. He is GREAT at what he does and if your EVER in need of a great haircut or straight razor shave, Corbin is your guy. The atmosphere in his shop is always great, he and his team are like family and you'll feel like part of it as well before you leave. If you currently have a barber or a place you normally get your hair cut that isn't The Foundry Barbers I strongly suggest you at least give it a try cause I guarantee you'll never go back to you use to be place for haircuts.
