The Gentlemen's Barber

Fair warning for this establishment, if you have an issue with your haircut the next day some barbers will not honor the unspoken tradition of cleaning up the cut. I reached out to Ryan a day after my haircut because I had stands hanging awkwardly off the back and sides. I didn’t notice at the time of the appointment because my hair had been styled with product so I couldn’t tell how rough it was. I trusted at the time that he had done his best to make it look good and align to the image I showed him as he asked no clarifying questions and seemed eager to get to his next customer who had been waiting 10 minutes already. Instead, I have a cut that does not match the image shown and the top does not blend well with the sides. When I reached out he wasn’t at all interested in fixing the haircut or acknowledging the possibility of a miscommunication, instead he claimed that if I didn’t want it like that I should have spoken up at the time of my haircut (I spent the whole cut faced away from the mirror and couldn’t tell how it would rest until the next day) and that I should schedule a second full-price haircut to fix it within *the same week* that I already bought and tipped for the first. This is so bizarre to me because he is stating that he would have fixed it at the time if I had caught it, thereby making his next appointment wait longer, as a part of the original price, but because I didn’t know immediately I must pay another 35$ (not even discounted) for a cut that corrects the last one. As someone who does a similarly subjective line of work, I’m genuinely surprised he was entirely unopen to resolving a small issue with his work and would rather let me walk around with a haircut that obvious to others sits wrong and that he knows I’m not happy with. I reached out over text to work things out, but he never acknowledged my position or responded after telling me i would need to pay for another cut. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a barber or salon that would approach an easy resolution to a customer’s problem as an opportunity to make them pay double. Not a fan of complaining online, and the owner seems like a good dude, but all other attempts to resolve this were ignored so it’s worth putting it out there for other customers. Consider asking their policy if you go next.

had an amazing experience with Elbroun ! The barber truly took his time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure my haircut was perfect. It’s rare to find someone who puts so much care and precision into their work, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. The atmosphere was great, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a skilled and professional barber. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Elbroun is a wizard with the clippers. I could never go anywhere else. This place is incredible inside and out. I booked an appointment ahead of time and had zero issues. He accommodated me and provided me a drink. Gave me the best haircut and shave I've ever had. I will never go someone else. I recommend everyone give this place a shot!
