I had a voucher for the Ginger Group - £39 for a full head of highlights, conditioning treatment and a cut which sounded like an incredible deal at the time. When I went to book the company booked me in for Bank Holiday Monday as you could only use the voucher from Monday to Friday. The bank holiday was about 3 weeks after I bought the voucher so I was really excited to use it. I had been away that weekend but rushed back in order to make my appointment - but they were closed!!! Very disappointing.It was then 2.5 months until I could get booked in again and I had to take the morning off work to do so as they wouldn't do evening appointments with the voucher. I didn't mind too much, I got my hair cut in the meantime and was reasonably happy but they weren't that accommodating for re-booking me in.On the day I was sort of happy with my hairdresser. She was lovely and we had a lot in common but that doesn't necessarily make for a good hairdresser. Every-time the phone rang she would have to run and get it - not overly good when you've got chemicals being painted into your hair so now the highlights are a bit splodgy in places. Luckily those parts are hidden under the rest of my hair but it looks a bit odd if you part my hair a different way due to a few spots where she wasn't very careful. The highlights came out looking overall quite good and fine if I keep my hair parted to one particular side but it definitely should not have to be that way - cheap deal or no cheap deal.The cut was OK, not the greatest cut I've ever had. Also, I was meant to have a conditioning treatment and a goody bag but neither were given to me. I won't be going back, and certainly wouldn't pay full-price for a head of highlights there. Sometimes these group deals aren't worth it as in some cases you feel like they're compromising on quality, which in this case I think it was.
