About TONI & GUY Bishop's Stortford

I went to Toni & Guy on 1st April and the haircut I received must have been their way of giving me an April's fool prank.I have a good head of hair. My hair is thick and has volume, I like it cut in layers so it bounces and looks natural. After a lengthy conversation with the famale stylist, enphasizing that I didn't want straight hair.and wanted a low maitainace cut, i.e., wash and dry it and it would be ready to go.She assured me that she undesrtood what I wanted, she cut my hair and put loads of stuff on it and dried it. The following day when I woke up it was as straight as a dye and flat as a pancake. She had cut my layers and my hair was lifeless. I went back the following day and told her that I was not happy, she cut it again saying that she would layer my hair. Once again, put lots of things on my hair and it was even worse. I washed my hair to remove all the mousse, spray, etc that she put on and it was straight as a dye. Contacted customer services and found out that they won't give my money back, they have nothing to do with the salons because they are franchises. Gone were the days that Toni & Guy was the place to go to receive top treatment. They are not going to give my money back, offered me another cut. What a joke!! They have already ruined my hair. I still have to tie my hair up because it looks horrible when it is down I was left with a stupid fringe and straight hair. I've spoken to the salon manager who told me to go back an have another haircut. What a joke! I had gourgeous long hair with lovely layers that bounced and had life. Now I can't stick my hair back, I can't get my money back, I have to tie my hair up, and I have to wait for my hair to grow. The salon manager said that it's not their policy to return money but offer another haircut. There is not enough hair to have another haircut. I haven't had an apology from the stylist nor the manager. I believe it's their policy to ruin their customers' hair. If you belong to my generation, mid-fifties, and used to have your hair cut in London, in the good old days of Toni & Guy, don't even think of going to Toni & Guy nowadays. It's not the same. Anyone can have a franchise, one doesn't need to be a hairdresser. What a pitty!! Guy Mascolo must be turning in his grave.
