I have natural curl in my hair and prefer wearing it curly/wavy. However, I always had to “work hard” for my curls. I had to use multiple products and scrunch it a lot. I also have a different texture in the front of my hair than the back so the back of my hair always pulled straight within a day or two no matter what styling techniques I used. I saw Carlee at Voodoo for a Curl Cult Perm and she did a great job! It was super curly at first but now that I’m 3 months out, I’ve settled into a new styling routine and am super happy with the results. The texture is more even around my head and no straight pieces in the back. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated (hourly charge) but it came out beautifully and takes less work. Would definitely recommend Carlee if you’re considering a perm!
