Arundel Castle, with over 1,000 years of history, offers special events to the public, such as medieval tournaments, BMW motorcycle visits, and archery. The Castle allows visitors to see their kitchen gardens, their restored glasshouse, and conducts garden tours. The new garden occupies one third of the Georgian and Victorian walled kitchen garden. The recreated organic kitchen gardens enhance the look and feel of the entire castle. Arundel Castle has been used to film a variety of things, from the movie ‘The Young Victoria' to the television broadcasts ‘The Prince and the Pauper' and ‘Henry VIII.' The gift centre at the castle offers a range of books, tea cups, stationary and accessories, amongst other things.Swanbourne Lodge, a beautiful 1,000 acre park established in 1852, has exciting row boat trips, and a café for tea and lunch. The lodge opens in the springtime and is a popular outing destination to share with family and friends. It is located just beneath Arundel Castle on Mill Road. Fontwell Park Racecourse offers unique figure-of-eight tracks, making for an exciting horse racing experience. Packages and suites are available for a memorable day out, with private hospitality rooms (some with private balconies overlooking the track), and a race day programme with a guide to the horses and riders. Fontwell Park hosts races for 11 months of the year, offering different packages for admission, drinks, buffets, and parking. Silks Restaurant is open for 6 months of the year, where you can reserve your table for an entire evening. Weddings are also catered for, on the 65 acres of land, amongst the elegant topiary gardens with external views overlooking the race track.
