There are a number of travel options in BR3, with several bus services, and a number of railway stations including New Beckenham Railway Station on Lennard Road, Beckenham Junction Railway Station on Station Approach, just off of Rectory Road Eden Park Station on Upper Elmers End Road and Elmers End Station on Elmers End Road. Beckenham Public Hall is on Bromley Road and is grade II listed Victorian building. The local library, Beckenham Library, can be found on Beckenham Road and offers a wide range of books, CDs, DVDs and hosts local exhibitions and events. For art and culture, The Studio, also on Beckenham Road, is the place to visit. The facility hosts art exhibitions, plays, comedy nights and music and dance productions. Beckenham Spa on Beckenham Road won the award for the best public swimming pool in the UK in 2004 and it is not hard to see why. As well as housing two swimming pools, the centre boasts a number of fitness facilities, activities for children and a café. There are a number of Golf Clubs in the area, including Langley Park Golf Club on Barnfield Wood Road and Beckenham Place Park Golf Club on Beckenham Place Park.Bethlem Royal Hospital on Monks Orchard Road is the oldest psychiatric hospital in the world. As well as providing NHS treatment for the general public, the hospital includes a museum about its history.
