Brockwell Park, one of the largest parks in South London, offers woodland walks, stunning views and vast open spaces. Bourell Park on Brixton Hill is another park with large open spaces in which people can walk, play and relax. Elm Park is a smaller park in the area, which includes a playground and some open space. Brixton Windmill, built in 1816 is also a local attraction, which is surrounded by The Windmill Gardens on Blenheim Gardens. The gardens are great for children and include a playground. Other popular parks include Rush Common on Brixton Hill and St. Matthews Gardens on Effra Road. There are some interesting buildings in SW2, such as the aforementioned Brixton Windmill. Another is Brixton Clock Tower on Brixton Road, which is a remarkable structure that dominates the area. Lambeth Town Hall on Brixton Hill, boasts a clock tower and has many other interesting features including stained glass windows and impressive staircases. The Tate Library on Brixton Oval is another building worth a visit. In the surrounding area, there is a statue of Sir Henry Tate, the sugar merchant who built the library. The Ritzy, which is the largest independent cinema in London, is located on Brixton Oval on Coldharbour Lane. Some of its many attractions include a jazz café (The Ritzy Café), its five screens and its art exhibitions. The Fridge on Town Hall Parade off Brixton Hill is another highly popular entertainment venue in SW2. The Fridge has hosted such acts as The Eurythmics, The Pet Shop Boys and Erasure. Transport in the area includes Streatham Hill Railway Station on Streatham Hill. Brixton Tube is also located nearby.
