Manicures in March
March, although a rather small town, provides you with most of the big city attributes. The bustling town centre contains boutiques as well as the well-known retailers such as WH Smith, Boots and Superdrug. The Meadowland Retail Park opened in 2008, with stores like Argos and Halfords. Also, in 2008 the Griffin Hotel in March changed into a Smith & Jones brand pub. Many of the town's residents enjoy this new pub very much. The pub is located on High Street. March is home to its own museum called the March Museum. This centre for cultural activity is also located on the High Street. Originally the South District Girls School, the museum was opened in 1977 and provides much local information. The museum also houses memorabilia and artefacts from the town's history. Every month of March students from Cambridge University walk from March to Cambridge in a walk entitled ‘March March March'. This walk has been taking place since 1979. St. Wendreda's Church is a famous part of the town. St. Wendreda is the town's patron saint and this is the only church dedicated to her. The church is famous through the world due to its double-hammer beam roof. The roof contains one-hundred and twenty carved angels, and is a real sight to see. Manicures in March
A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands performed at home or in a nail salon. A manicure treatment is not only a treatment for the natural nails but also for the hands. A manicure consists of filing, shaping of the free edge, treatments, massage of the hand and the application of polish.
French manicures are manicures designed to resemble natural nails, and are characterized by natural pink base nails with white tips. The tips of the nails are painted white while the rest of the nails are polished in a pink or a suitable nude shade. French manicures may have originated in eighteenth-century Paris and were popular in the 1920s and 1930s.
In modern times there are new manicure trends emerging such as nail wraps and nail art which can be incorporated into a manicure.
