Trains from Newton Abbot Railway Station serve a number of stations, including London Paddington. This train runs every hour on the London to Penzance Line. Newton Abbot is home to the scenic Decoy County Park along with many other town parks. One of the oldest buildings is St. Leonard's Tower built in 1220; it is located near the town centre. Another famous landmark is Forde house; built in 1610 it has housed famous guests including Oliver Cromwell, and King Charles I. Newton Abbot boasts of Tucker's Maltings which claims to be the only traditional malt house in the UK open to the public. The town is also home to Ye Olde Cider Bar, one of four cider houses left in the entire country, and therefore a must see. The town council offers many events and festivals throughout the year including The Town Crier's Competition, The Cheese and Onion Fayre, and The Town Carnival.
