Jena Malone is an American actress perhaps best known for her roles in independent films such as Donnie Darko and Into the Wild. She was born in Nevada on November 21st 1984, and was very itinerant - she lived in 27 locations by the age of 9! Jena progressed to professional acting at the age of just 8, and was straight into film with a role in the 1996 film B*stard Out of Carolina. She has won a number of awards for her acting skills but has also delved into music, releasing her first single in 2007 on an independent label.
