About Aqua Sana Spa at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest
I had the 30 minute neck, back and shoulder Swedish massage at the the Aqua Sana Spa inside Sherwood Forest Center Parcs. It cost £34, so wasn't that expensive, but I still don't feel as if I got value for money.Arriving at reception, I was told where the changing rooms could be found and to 'turn left'. These were the only instructions I was given, so after getting changed and turning left, I found myself at the intersection of two corridors with about eight chairs and twelve confused people. It turns out that this was the treatment waiting area, but this wasn't indicated and there was no member of staff on hand to ask.Eventually some therapists arrived to call out the names of customers. This was done by surname only ('Smith for a Facial') and felt cold and impersonal. I had booked in for a 2pm slot. My therapist didn't arrive until 2:10 and made no apology for being late. I was shown into a treatment room which, in contrast to the too-hot waiting area, was very cold. The actual massage was competent, but the therapist stopped at exactly 2:30 and left the room. So I had 20 minutes of massage having paid for 30.On my way out I took the time to look round the rest of the facility, which is well appointed, but blandly decorated. It was very crowded, which is perhaps to be expected as the weather outside was terrible, but there were far too many people inside and the atmosphere was not relaxed.
