Bamford Wellness Spa, Brompton Cross's review by Talia Serene

Bamford Wellness Spa is truly a sanctuary of relaxation and luxury. From the moment I walked in, I was immersed in the most beautiful, calming ambiance—everything from the soft lighting and soothing aromas to the carefully curated decor felt intentional and inviting. The space is immaculate, and every detail is designed to create a sense of tranquility. I had a massage with Supria, and she was absolutely incredible. Not only does she have an intuitive touch, but she also listened attentively to my special requests and executed them perfectly. It’s rare to find a masseuse who can both anticipate what you need and adapt seamlessly to specific requests, but Supria did exactly that. I left feeling completely refreshed and restored. The spa also offers lovely amenities, including a warm welcome with tea, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everything about my visit was top-tier, and I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a spa that delivers both luxury and genuine care, this is the place to go. Ask for Supria—she’s phenomenal!

Bamford Wellness Spa, Brompton Cross's review by Alexey Alexeev

Rather mixed feelings from my 1h massage experience: I definitely felt relaxed afterwards and enjoyed myself during the session, but there were a few mistakes/issues completely unacceptable for a place with such a price tag. Some are less important, some are more important, but in chronological order: 1. Hard to book: nobody answers the phone on 3 different days during working hours. Email replies at most 1 per day, which makes communications and booking process very slow and inefficient 2. On the day a few hours before the session I have received a text that I need to fill in a form no less than 24h beforehand 3. Really loud air conditioning/heating in the room during the session 4. Staff recommended to change and leave clothes in the “changing area”, rather than main treatment room, but the changing area was just a toilet room with no space for any items to leave 5. Session started with some random moves through a towel, which got me a bit concerned, but after 5 minutes it became a proper massage. Their “hard” pressure was rather light for me, but I did not mind as I wanted to relax and enjoy. I was also asked if pressure was ok. 6. The actual massage was at least 5-min short of 1 hour, despite coming in early and there really not being any reason for that. 7. The towels on the bed seemed to have a bit of darker shades, which I did not pay too much attention towards at the start, but at the end of the session saw lipstick on the inside of another towel, which was clearly a sign that towels were either not fresh or not washed properly (I’m a male who don’t wear lipstick) 8. One of my requests on the form that we also discussed verbally with my secialist were to a) concentrate on the head b) avoid stomach and chest. My head was massaged for 15-20 seconds at most without washing oil off hands; my chest was massaged quite properly, despite my request and clear expression on my face I found it rather unpleasant. All in all – I would note once again that I left the session in a good mood because it was a gift experience, so I had to pay only the price difference our of my pocket. However, being a regular massage goer elsewhere I just don’t understand how can Bamford charge £150 per hour (double of many places even in London) and still make those mistakes, where points 1-6 some people may try to argue being subjective and open to interpretation, whereas 7 & 8 just completely unacceptable. Unfortunately I was never given an opportunity to feed that back properly to admin as my therapist was always present, and I chose not to make trouble after something that was still rather peaceful and relaxing.
