Bikram Yoga Chiswick

Easter monday & I decided to try a drop in bikram yoga class along the chiswick high road. I arrived and reception staff were warm, friendly, helpful, a tad keen to get me hooked and before regular. I arrived already in my yoga gear, headed to the changing rooms to drop off bags and extra clothing, changing room was tiny, showers tiny and not single cubicles - thats ok i was prepared to join class and leave for heaven of my own bathroom. I thought I was early, on entering, yoga room was already half way full of people, luckily i found a nice spot on the back row, away from men wearing no t shirts and not with particularly attractive bodies either ! ok guys i get it you sweat like a pig/you want to show off !!! also i have to say there was a musty smell already. Soon more people arrived, with no booking policy the class was getting fuller and fuller. Laura our lovely teacher arrived and find room for others ! I moved myself closer and closer to next door neighbours to make room. At this point I said, would I come again ?! this is like sardines ! The class got going, Laura was a great teacher and made going through the postures fun ! She also made a point to check on new comers at beginning of the class ! By the end of the class, I felt fully re charged, detoxed ! This is by no means a spa like venue but a such reasonable pricing its tough to get more ( although if I was the owners, please ditch the carpets in the yoga room ! For first timers - you will fell the benefits on even the first visit and then wonder if you will become a regular or seek more luxurious venues !
