As for the shop itself, the staff that run that department are very friendly and always ready to help whether it's tips on how to care for natural hair or how to best carry out a particular hairstyle. They are always smiley and welcoming which makes it such a joy to stop by and collect my products or hair extensions. On the other hand, the hairdresser department located in the back of the store has given me one of the worst customer service experiences, single-handedly delivered to me by Comfort. I want to make it clear that this review isn't on any of the other girls but Comfort as the other girls provide high quality skilled work and display professionalism. On the 24th of April, I booked a hair appointment for 12pm for which she called me at 1pm, when I had already arrived to explain that she would be late, upon arriving, she realised that she was double booked and started the other lady, further delaying my appointment by carrying out lengthy conversations, knowing I was waiting. My hair didn't start until 3pm.. three hours later than my appointment. Before and during her doing my hair for the sew in part of my hairstyle, which was half cornrows and half weave, I asked her if I had enough packs of hair, to which she responded yes. When she finished my hair and gave me the mirror, I was horrified that she would suggest that I leave the chair with all the cornrows under the sew in showing. I first started getting this style done in 2022 and have NEVER come across this issue. To fix it, she added a glued track to the top of my hair. I ended up with glue all in my cornrows and the back of my head looking like a hot mess. I had no choice but to call the day off work to take it out as i really dont know how to manage feelings of embarrassment. While doing my hair, the previous client also came back into the shop to complain that her weave ponytail was too high, to which she responded "when you put a scarf on it to wrap it, it will fix itself" I didn't know that's how it worked but I suppose so... Comfort also did this same hairstyle for me in November 2023 and it lasted me the month with no issues of tracks showing but my edges were ripped out from her braiding style. After spending £70 I took my hair out in just 3 days. When I contacted the owner of the establishment, Comfort contacted me with not a single apology on her lips, pure attitude and spoke down to me. Very disgusting. Very unprofessional. I had to end the conversation with her and recontact the owner as to not rise to her disrespect because I would've done her. No matter what your business is, there's a certain level of professionalism that you should maintain when speaking to paying customers. Pride comes before the fall. I've been going back and forth with the owner since 30th April awaiting a conclusion to this situation which doesn't seem to be happening at any point soon. So all I can say is, if you want a good experience, don't bother with Comfort. The other hairdressers such as Navessa are really great and deserving of tips. They always provide the exact quality and style that you are looking for.

This is my go to place for all things hair and body, even though I don't live in the area. Owner and assistants have a good knowledge of the products they stock and always willing to help you find what you're looking for and/or the right one. Definitely recommend the store and ready to the recycle the black pound.
