About Heartcore Fitness Hampstead
Yes I agree with Annabel - should be called 'Hardcore Pilates' instead! The thought of doing it again makes my body recoil in pain and fear! I really didn't enjoy this class and definitely won't be going back, but that is definitely personal preference on the type of exercise I enjoy rather than a reflection on the venue or class. I can see why other people go (I imagine you must get great results based on the intensity) and the venue and facilities were excellent, clean, professional. I love normal pilates, but even though I have been doing normal pilates for almost three months now, I found this impossible to do all the moves, could not keep up, and was close to walking out on many occasions. I have bad wrists and it seemed like a large percentage of the class we had to put our weight on our wrists in order to do the exercises and it was simply far to painful for my wrists. The instructor was nice and friendly, but she was quite a 'bad cop' character, trying to push people to do the moves. I can see why because of the nature of the class you have to push yourself hard, but for me having someone tell me off when I am seriously struggling and trying with sore wrists (rather than suggest easier beginners option / alternative move) is simply not a style of training I react well to. It's too hardcore for me and I didn't find it fun, but it is clearly a popular class that gets results. If you like a serious challenge and are not afraid of pain and are totally injury free, try out a free class and see what you think.
