Iris Avenue's review by Rebecca Rose
Awful experience. I left my appointment feeling distressed and upset, questioning if I’ll return. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2022, spending significantly at Iris Avenue and paying for a monthly membership. Today’s treatment was unacceptable, and I’ve requested to file a complaint with management. I’m also sharing my experience online to inform others. On Tuesday, January 29, 2025, I visited to fix a chipped nail—something pre-approved via text. Instead of a relaxing experience after a stressful day, I was confronted by staff, who implied I’d had too many repairs and warned that future fixes deemed "wear and tear" wouldn't be covered under the 10-day guarantee. Given I pay £80-£100+ for builder gel manicures, chips should be covered, especially when I provide clear photo evidence beforehand. What made it worse was the inconsistency—my fix was approved over text but dismissed in person, making me feel gaslit. To top it off, I had a pedicure booked afterward but felt anxious due to the prior confrontation. I had already informed staff I needed a silk fix for my big toe that was split, but my technician later advised against it because of how bad it was broken. I ultimately decided to go without nail polish on my toenails to let it heal and repair itself naturally, only to be told at front desk that I’d typically be charged for the full service price despite not having it done, since my technician is in high demand and I took away time she could've spent with other customers. How insensitive... I still paid £48 for a polish-free pedicure (gel polish is £64)! The way front-of-house handled everything was disappointing. While she apologised when I stressed how awful I was left feeling, it didn't feel genuine. Clearer communication is needed on their front, as well as the ability to actually read a room. Customers shouldn’t be made to feel the way I was made to feel today. I've attatched my last three nail chips which apparently are down to "wear and tear''...

Iris Avenue's review by Melika Rafat
This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a beauty salon! The place has such a positive vibe, and the team is incredibly kind and welcoming. I had my nails done by Maral, and the results were even better than I imagined. She was super precise, did my nails perfectly, and worked really fast too. I’ll definitely be coming back to this salon again
