LA fitness - Southgate

I used to be a member of this gym until 2006 - I have a friend who used to work there so I managed to get a particularly competitive membership deal. This friend still has insider knowledge of this venue and in a nutshell I would say that the classes were the best thing about this club: I particularly enjoyed the yoga and body balance classes as well as the super-energetic samba. As outside teachers were particularly good and were a major pull to bring in clients, the gym decided not to use them in an ironic twist of fate. Also the swimming pool was mostly out of bounds so you don't necessarily get your money's worth.I hope things will improve but the whole fitness industry has taken a bit of a blow during the recession and there's less investment in equipment and facilities in general.
