Marc D'Orsay Salon

I was looking forward to a haircut here as the place looks airy,bright & modern, and I was scheduled in for a haircut with the eponymous Marc D'Orsay, who is from France, and has been in the US for over 15 years.My haircut was really of a high quality, and Marc is obviously extremely talented - he used some special technique with his fingers on my hair that was really cool. I did think however that the experience could have been better with a few more niceties including- maybe offering me a glass of water (maybe I am used to London where this is common?)- offering to rinse my hair after the cut to minimize my shedding on myself & my desk for the rest of the dayOtherwise, it was a fine haircut - it was missing a bit of warmth - i like my haircut place to feel like one where I am warmly welcomed, and has a good vibe. I didn't quite get this vibe on the day I went, but perhaps it was a one-off. As I said earlier, the haircut looks really good, which i guess is what matters in the end.
