About Raw Skin Food Spa at Ivo Venturi
I visited the spa for a Raw Skin Food Imperial Dermabrasion facial as I was keen to try a non-surgical dermabrasion (I've tried microdermabrasion in the past). The spa itself is quite small but intimate and whilst it doesn't have a full spa-like feel - dimmed lights, aromatic smells etc it is fully functional and clean. My therapist was Clare Eluka who is also the founder of Raw Skin Food. Having received a full consultation previously (I use their skincare range at home) Clare had advised the Mango Dermabrasion facial will be good for my skin and help close up my pores, smooth out my skin etc.The facial started with the removal of anything on my face - I wasn't wearing any make-up but it was a hot day (i.e. sweaty gunk) - the Mab Fab cleanser & tonique was used for this (it smelt lush!). The Mango dermabrasion mask was then applied to my face using a wooden spatula and then massaged into my entire face using soothing movements. It was not too abrasive but at the same time I could feel the rice brans grinding away - I like this feeling as I like to feel products working. After being massaged into my skin the mask was left on and I was left to relax for a few minutes. The mask was then removed and the Mab Fab tonique applied to my face as well as the Mab Fab moisturiser. My skin felt lovely and smooth and plump afterwards and did look much more radiant. I like the fact that everything used was natural and I received many compliments after! I was offered cucumber water and freshly made juice during my consultation/treatment and would def recommend for a nice "natural" facial.
