Sabai Leela Day Spa's review by Daria Fedotova

As dodgy as it gets. I went there with my husband for the couple’s massage for St.Valentines. It’s the worst massage I’ve ever experienced. The masseuse hurt me badly, applying too much pressure on my temples, almost breaking my angles! She simply had no idea where to put pressure, couldn’t distribute time properly to treat all body parts. It was a RELAXING massage but I had headaches for the next couple of days. The masseuse’s name is Kate Lynne Williams but she doesn’t speak or understand English. Which is already very doggy. I requested her certificate, they sent it over a couple of hours later, but I’m pretty sure it was either fake or not even hers as her photo isn’t on the wall with other employees. On top of it they cropped the certificate so there was no holographic print, no date of issue or reference number. Honestly don’t waste money and don’t jeopardize your health. It’s not a place to go. The male administrator is also the most unpleasant person to speak to (can’t understand English properly either), but has lots of arrogance.

Sabai Leela Day Spa's review by Suzanne Menezes

My experience with Sabai Leela Chelsea was beyond disappointing—unprofessional, rude, and completely dismissive. I initially went in for a facial, but what I received was a rushed, poorly executed service that left me feeling frustrated and concerned. When I raised the issue with the reception, they admitted that the therapist was both inexperienced and temporary, which only confirmed my dissatisfaction. I was promised a refund by Patrick as a remedy, but here I am, four months later, still waiting for my money despite numerous follow-up calls and messages. On enquiring multiple times, I was told they have done a refund, but refused to share a proof of refund. I even sent them bank statements to share that no refund was received. Yet no resolution was found. The real shock came when I finally managed to speak to Patrick approx 4 months of follow up and instead of offering any helpful solution, he responded in a condescending, rude manner, essentially telling me to "come in, take your money, and go somewhere else for your service." I asked him if he was the owner and why would he tell me to so somewhere else when I have been a loyal customer. His dismissive attitude, lack of customer service skills, and unwillingness to help was appalling and unacceptable. This is not just bad service; it’s blatant disrespect towards paying customers. Sabai Leela’s treatment left me feeling unvalued and ignored, which is no way to run a business. If you’re looking for quality service and basic respect, save yourself the trouble and avoid Sabai Leela entirely.

Sabai Leela Day Spa's review by Mia Dibe

Terrible massage experience! Avoid it. Not recommended. I wanted to treat my partner to a couple massage after having read some seemingly acceptable reviews, but it quickly turned to an utter dissapointment. The therapist lacked knowledge and the skill necessary for a quality massage. She didn't seem to understand how to follow muscle groups or work with tension properly, there was absolutely no consistency or flow in pressure control, so the entire massage felt random and aimless. My partner was unpleasantly distracted by her nails digging into his skin, an uncomfortable touch that completely took away from any sense of relaxation. There were also long pauses where nothing happened, making the experience feel even more disjointed. The therapists' hands had a strong unpleasant smell during face massage, making it impossible to relax. Adding to his discomfort, she didn't seem to know how to manipulate his limbs through their natural range of motion. His knee, which wasn't sore before going in, left feeling strained and aching. The massage was far from full body or deep tissue, certain areas felt ignored while others given excessive repetitive with very ineffective attention. Much of it felt like someone had just rubbed oil on him and rested their hands here and there but no actual massaging was taking place. To add to that, despite the place being clean, the ambiance simply did not meet our expectations: no ambient music, no eyes covering, and a constant white noise in the background. In another professional place with a decent service, we would have been asked to sign a waiver or medical questionnaire to clarify injuries and weak or sensitive body areas to be avoided during treatment. There was no such thing. At the end, the receptionist gave my partner's massage for half the price (only, rather than complimentary or with future discounted sessions) after my partner stressed he was not planning on going back. In reality, the discount was not generous enough for us to consider going back. Don't waste your time or money here, there are other more affordable and more professional places in the area.

Memorable chest and ab wax

(5.0 out of 5)

So my gf wanted me to try waxing my chest and after a long debate I gave in. After reading some reviews I decided to visit a local spa called Sabai Leela over my lunch. It was cool because the staff joked that I wasn't alone and make the process simple and easy. After the night I had with my gf I just might be back soon...
