The Look

Before I begin, I would like to say that i have lived in Chesterfield for a number of years now and have visited numerous hairdressers through out the area whilst I have been here, but I have to say The Look was by far the worst I've been to.As I was looking to change my hair colour but would have no time to go into the town centre any time soon, I rang them up knowing it was within my local area. Before I confirmed I wanted to make an appointment, I asked them for a price and was told it would cost a maximum of so much [I wrote this down on a post-it so I'd know how much to take out from the cash machine across the street]. I have to say i found it much more expensive than any of the other places in Chesterfield, but due to my lack of time I decided it was worth it for the convenience.As I arrived at the Salon, I was ignored for several minutes before some one finally noticed me. I was then told to wait on one of the [very comfy] sofa's until my appointment. I was then kept waiting an extra 15 mins past my alloted slot. This I could let slide, again because i was here for convenience above anything else. Eventually, it was my turn. As my hair was being washed, there was very littlle attempt at any conversation by any of the people that handled my hair [as they were constantly switching around], and even when it was made, it was incredibly weak. Normally when I visit a salon, I like to enjoy a good long natter to get me through the time, but no such enjoyment was provided.I was then repeatedly left for long periods of time between the switches as bleach was put into my hair. I was constantly told 'I'll be back in ____ minutes' but I noticed as I checked my watch that I was being left for far longer periods of time than promised. As there were only two other customers at the time, the four members of staff could certainly spare me a bit of attention and check on how I was doing.Now when that process was done, they went on to dry and straighten my hair. They drying bit went okay, the straightening however did not as they caught my ear between the irons, burning my ear. And then when all this catastrophie of an experience was done, they tried charged me £15 extra than I was told on the phone! I must say, I was most dissapointed by their service and would not reccomend it.
