About The Pamper Pit
This venue is a pretty and unique vintage, beauty heaven situated in a grade 2 listed townhouse in the town of Leek, Staffordshire. Being such a girlie, girl this is my favourite and most unique venue I have visited to date and I absolutely loved every part of the experience. From the minute I arrived I was extremely excited as I was aware that the owner Vicky had decided to go with a vintage theme, which is unique for a beauty salon, however this was definitely what made this experience different from any other along with attention to detail on every aspect of the salon, treatment and visit. None of the images I had seen in advance do this salon any justice. The salon shares the three storey building with 'The Passion Pit' hairdressers who are situated on the ground floor - a very funky looking salon with two equally trendy stylists. As you venture up the stairs to the next floor you arrive at 'The Closet' vintage clothing boutique, which was fab to find as the benefit of the three businesses working so closely with each other in one building created a lovely atmosphere and gave you the feeling that you could spend a whole girlie afternoon visiting each floor of this venue. Along every staircase leading up to the Pamper Pit are very cool painted murals tying the three floors together and giving you the feeling that you are escalating up to somewhere very exciting. As I arrived on the top floor I was greetly warmly by Vicky the salon owner and therapist. Obviously it wasn't the reason I was there but I spent a good 10 minutes just wandering around trying to take in the decor and finishing touches of this salon. Attention to detail has been made on every aspect of this salon from the sourcing of furniture to the props and vintage ornaments throughout, which were extremely pretty and made this venue much more than a beauty salon.I was asked to take a seat and was so chuffed when Vicky returned with my very own little tray complete with a pretty vintage tea pot, cup and saucer and a plate of giant chunky choc chip cookies to enjoy. I was astonished to find that every single customer regardless of what they are booked in for, receives this this fab treatment. There are a selection of beverages and you will be treated to whatever delights they have in that day from cupcakes to cookies. This alone made me feel very special and made a big difference to my visit. One thing I noticed was the vast selection of OPI nail colours and the excellent choice of product ranges including 'Pinks Boutique' organic skincare range and' Inika' mineral cosmetics - again I have a feeling these were picked not just for the fact that they are obviously excellent products but also because the pretty packaging fitted in well with the theme. On leaving the salon I invested in a 'Inika' lip gloss as I couldn't leave without buying something from this lovely place. I was like a kid in a sweet shop! Again unbelievable attention to detail and finishing touches were applied when packaging my tiny lip gloss which wasn't worthy of it - It was placed in a 'Pinks' brown paper bag, stuffed with tissue paper, sprinkled with dried flowers and spritzed with fragrance.I know this review has been mainly about the venue on this ocassion, however I felt that this made such an impact on the whole experience that I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this venue despite the 50 minute drive from where I am located. I would definitely recommend this venue or take someone else on my next visit. I was made to feel special and very relaxed from the minute I arrived and could have spent the whole day there. The next visit is likely to be very soon with my mum in tow, when I convince her that we really need to go on a girlie Saturday afternoon out to Leek :)
