About Wonda Fish Camden Lock Village
I was extremely curious to try out this treatment, so roped a friend in to try the pedicure with me. We went after work on Friday, so rushed to get there, as they close at 6pm,however,it was difficult to locate the 'salon'. I had a googlemap and the address, yet many traders didn't know of it. Just when we were ready to give up, one pointed us in the direction, so I thought we'd try for the last time,as we'd already been pointed in many different directions! Anyway, we located this 'salon' in the middle of Camden Lock market. My friend was very squeamish, so didn't want to take part, especially as you had to sit in the open with your feet in a tank, on show for all passers by to see- and boy did they look! Anyway, we were presented with wet towels to wipe our feet before placing them inside the tank full of little Garra Rufa fish. hey were very small and thin and have no teeth (we had to ask!). Anyway, we reached late, but the stallholder thankfully let us have the treatment. I persuaded my friend to put her feet in for at least a minute to see how she felt- she actually lasted the whole 30 minutes! Anyway, so the fish suck away at your dead skin. However, many of them seemed to leave one foot alone and just collect around my other foot. At first it tickled a bit, but soon settled down and felt like little vibrations to me, just like putting your feet in a foot spa. However my friend was not so keen, but I think it was more of the idea of what they were doing. Anyway, the result was softer feet, although not all your dead skin is removed. So for the novelty factor, i would definitely recommend. Though if you want all your dead skin removed, I would not place high hopes on this treatment alone.
