The collection has brought together artefacts, documents and pictures that chart the way the people have spread across the world from such humble beginnings. Another interesting place is the Spalding Gentlemen's Society, which is one of the oldest learned societies that exist in the country. It was intended to give a forum in which local academics and learned characters could discuss matters of importance, history, and discovery.
