The Gordon Boswell Romany Museum is a great place to go to explore the history and development of the Romany people, not only in this country but across the world. The collection has brought together artefacts, documents and pictures that chart the way the people have spread across the world from such humble beginnings. Another interesting place is the Spalding Gentlemen's Society, which is one of the oldest learned societies that exist in the country. It was intended to give a forum in which local academics and learned characters could discuss matters of importance, history, and discovery. Some members of the society are Sir Isaac Newton, Sir Hans Sloane, Alexander Pope, and Alfred Lord Tenyson. Some great pubs and bars in Spalding are Ye Old White Horse, Shooters, Pied Calf, The Ivy Wall, and Gardeners Arms. Some of the nearby primary schools are “St. Norbert's Catholic Primary School, Spalding”, Spalding Primary School, and The Spalding Parish Church of England Day School. A few of the secondary schools are Spalding Grammar School, Spalding High School, and Gleed Boy's School.
