I booked a Thai massage at the Elegant Studios, but arrived late due to the tube delays. The Thai masseuse was with another customer, so I got a Japanese one instead. She was good, but on the hard side. I asked her to reduce the pressure but still woke up the next day with a bit of pain on my back on the right side, which disappeared by the end of the day.The location is a bit hard to find as it is on the second floor amidst the hustle and bustle of China Town. But it is a nice place inside, clean and well decorated. The front office staff is very welcoming and it is very popular with the lunch time crowd. I may book again to try the Thai massage next time.

I had a great massage experience at this small salon on the second floor of the hidden gem in the busy China Town. This review is long overdue, but that might be because I was hesitant to share this masseuse in fear he might be too busy in the future if I wanted to book a whole course for myself, which they currently have on offer for 5 for ?165! Bargain!! My masseuse in particular has a breadth of of experience, (which I could tell of straight away when the massage experience began) offers a range of different massages from deep tissue (which I went for) to Swedish, relaxation, lymphatic drainage, even to slimming massages (which I am very keen to try out next), posture/stretches advice and back pain/sciatica relief, so he will definitely cater to your every need. So, back to my experience, which is exactly what it was. The relaxing environment, which puts you at ease straight away, especially considering the central location, is exactly what you need if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the everyday stressful London. The massage itself is extremely thorough, literally covering every muscle from head to toe. And after you get awakened after the hour it definitely feels like you are reborn again, even as if each muscle can breath in again. I know it might sound a little dramatic, but don't knock it till you have tried it for yourself. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.
