i agree to previous reviews..the staff doesnt talk to clients, i thought they were mute then i would understand..how on earth will they establish rapport to clients without talking..they need proper training and being sociable with the type of job they would be in.most of them looks unhappy and cannot be bothered look whicb is really especially theyre still students and learning..please train them properly as it reflects to their mentors.will never go ack there again.

Hair Academy South West 's review by Tash
I had my hair cut in the hair academy hair salon a couple of days ago and i would NEVER go back!! I usually go to have my hair cut for a treat but this certainly wasn't a treat. I walked in to the salon with my mum and it was farily busy, i did notice that it was quiet for the amount of people in there too. The stylist called me over to the chair and asked what i wanted done very bluntly, i then said im not quite sure and did she have any ideas what would suit me, her reply was "i don't know, what do you want". I decided to have it cut shorter but not sure about the style. The stylist then walked off to get somebody to wash my hair. After my hair was washed i was sent back to the chair, where the stylist came back to brush my hair, she didn't talk to me the whole time and kept looking around the room paying no attention to me. After my hair was brushed she started cutting my hair, we hadn't even agreed on a style, i asked her again what she thought would look nice on me and her reply this time as she showed me the length she was cutting my hair was "you can't have layers because you hair is too fine so i will cut it at this length, blow dry your hair and see what you think". She finished cutting my hair and i asked her to put in a fringe, she did this whilst rolling her eyes. The whole time she was doing my hair she never attempted to talk to me once, even when i tried to make conversation all i was getting was one word answers, also i think a smile would have cracked her face. She then started to dry my hair but stopped a couple of minutes in to it and called someone else over to finish it, before she walked off she said "after its dry if you don't like the length i will cut it a bit shorter" . This girl that was now drying my hair was very nice so have no complaints about her. I then noticed the stylist that had cut my hair was now starting a little girls hair. After my hair was dry the stylist came back over leaving the little girl sat in the chair on her own and asked if everything was ok, i said i wasn't sure on the length and would like it shorter, if looks could kill i think i would have dropped dead. She only cut a little bit off, i still wasn't happy but didn't want to say anything as she was making me feel so awkward. When i left the salon the first thing my mum said was about how rude most of the staff seemed and how there was no conversation between stylists and clients. She also said how the only time she saw the staff talk was when they were talking amongst themselves and moaning about there clients. So as i said i woukd never go back in there, i have never felt so uncomfortable in my life and everything seemed like to much effort for them. I'm warning anyone who is thinking about going in there for a hair cut DON'T, and also if thats how the academy train they're staff then i wouldn't recommend anyone train in there either.
