About SanaeThai Spa
I had a half hour Aromatherapy Herbal Steam and an hour body massage at SanaeThai Spa on Sunday and it was heaven. The first thing i’d like to say is don’t be put off by the location. It is on a very busy road, Oldham Road, in an industrial looking area. To get to the spa itself you must enter through the Vietnamese Grocery shop, walk out the back and up the stairs. It is not the most traditional entrances for a spa but overlook that and enjoy the experience once you are there. To be honest i can’t see these girls staying at this venue for long and they might have already moved the business to somewhere more suited to their service by the time you read this. The ladies that run this spa are lovely, friendly and very professional, we were put at ease very quickly. We were offered drinks on arrival and provided with clean, crisp robes to wear and asked to pick the massage oil we prefered. We first started with a herbal steam, i really didn’t know what to expect but it was like sitting in a small tent with your head and hand sticking out while herbal steam is pumped into the tent. It got hot really quickly and wasn’t long until i was sweating. It was like a Turkish bath but with your head and hands out it was comfortable. After a shower it was onto a massage. The private rooms are comfortable, clean and decorated with a Thai influence. The masseuse listened carefully to what i wanted and then delivered. They certainly knew what they were doing, using enough oil for the massage without leaving me coated after. The massage left me feeling great for the rest of the day and today my skin feels amazing.I would definitely visit this spa again. The service and treatment was above average.
